A company that takes people on fun, accurate and insightful guided walks through downtown Nashville.
2. What sets Nashville Walks apart? Its founder Bill Carey has spent more than 10 years researching and writing books and articles and making speeches on Nashville history. The stories you will hear on these walks are fascinating and will add greatly to your visit to Music City.

4. Where do the walks meet? The Hidden Nashville tours meet in front of the Sommet Center (at the corner of Fifth and Broadway); the Nashville in the Wild West and Wall Street of the South tours meet at the corner of First and Broadway (across the street from the Riverfront Park flagpoles). Your tour guide will be standing there holding Nashville Walks brochures.

5. How much do the walks cost? $15 for adults; $10 for young people under 16.

6. How long do the walks last? About an hour and 45 minutes.

7. How far are the walks? About 8 city blocks each (please keep in mind that Nashville has a hilly downtown). The Wild West tour is the longest of the scheduled walks.

8. If I'm new to town, how do I get to the Sommet Center or Riverfront Park? If you are staying in a downtown hotel, anyone who works at the hotel can direct you. If you are staying in a West End Avenue area hotel, or at the Opryland Hotel, the hotel should have a shuttle service.

Parking can be difficult to find in downtown Nashville, but here are two tips: One, to have a $5 bill handy to park in a surface lot in the Church Street/Seventh Avenue area, or two, to try the garages near Printer's Alley, the Downtown Public Library, or McKendree Church.

9. What happens if the weather is awful? Being Tennessee, the weather doesn't cooperate. Here's a rule of thumb: If the weather is tolerable, the tour is on. But if it's flooding or tornadoes are forecast, there probably won't be a tour that day. If you aren't sure, call tour guide Bill Carey at 477-1644 or email him here.
